The Central Promotion Committee at the University of Basrah held its periodic central meeting at the College of Arts, headed by Prof. Dr. Hussein Al-Nur, Chairman of the Central Promotion Committee, and in the presence of all members of the committee.

 During the meeting, a number of instructions related to academic promotions were discussed and agreed on a unified mechanism for promoting transactions in all colleges of the university, as well as discussing obstacles and problems in some cases and ways to address them. A number of promotion transactions for the ranks (professor, assistant professor, and teacher) have also been discussed and approved according to the conditions and laws received from the scientific committees.
