Discussion of the Student Muhannad Ahmed Ibrahim

On the morning of Thursday 9/3/2023, a PhD thesis entitled (The Morphological Lesson of Abi Ali Al-Farsi (288-377 AH) in his books Al-Masa’il) was discussed in the Department of Arabic Language at the College of Arts at the University of Basrah.

The thesis presented by student Muhannad Ahmed Ibrahim included three chapters. The first chapter discussed the morphological topics in the books of Masa’il Al-Farsi, the second chapter discussed the morphological principles and their evidence in the books of Masa’il Al-Farsi, and the third chapter dealt with the opinions of Abu Ali Al-Farsi and his morphological responses in his books Al-Masa’il.

 

The thesis aims to identify an important linguistic aspect (morphology) of a scholar who enriched the Arab library with his writings.

The thesis concluded that Abi Ali Al-Farsi is an important link in the development of the morphological study from its previous era, and the thesis extracted a new morphological text added to the Arab library through the books of Al-Farsi issues.

The thesis recommended a return to the inspection of the Arabic linguistic heritage and its careful reading because t carries with it scientific treasures not yet discovered.
