The University of Basrah Organizes a Panel Discussion Entitled (Reverse translation related to the type of text: an experimental study)

The Department of Translation at the College of Arts at the University of Basrah organized a panel discussion entitled (Reverse translation related to text type: an experimental study).

The panel discussion, in which Assistant Teacher Nada Diaa lectured, included a necessary study of the practical orientation in the impact of text type, specifically scientific and literary texts, in reverse translation, in which she tries to consider the impact imposed by the specialization of the text on the level of competence of participants in reverse translation in addition to inquiring about their own perspective regarding this issue.  That is, their knowledge of the requirements and limitations imposed by the type of text on the quality of their texts. Therefore, the translator's competency model (Pacte, 2018) has been adapted, and the road triangulation (draft translation and questionnaire) is scheduled to investigate the problem. The results are intended to be of educational use; that is, it contributes to designing the curricula adopted in the training courses for translators.
