The Department of History at the College of Arts Holds Ramadan Cultural Events

 

On the occasion of the celebration of the anniversary of the founding of the University of Basra, which coincides with the blessed month of Ramadan and the birth of Imam Hassan al-Mujtaba, peace be upon him, the Department of History at the College of Arts at the University of Basra held cultural events to celebrate the historical heritage associated with the holy month and with the aim of developing information and acquiring scientific and religious knowledge among students.

The celebration began with the reading of the national anthem, then reading verses from the Holy Quran, and a brief video report on the University of Basra on the occasion of its founding anniversary. It also included a cultural competition among the students on two axes (The first axis includes information about the month of Ramadan and the Holy Qur’an, and the second axis deals with historical information about the biography of Imam Hassan, pbuh). A Ramadan corner of heritage significance was also presented. In conclusion, the participants in the celebration were honored.
