Under the patronage of the respected President of the University of Basrah, Prof. Dr. Saad Shaheen Hammadi, and the respected Dean of the College of Arts, Prof. Dr. Majed Abdul Hamid Al-Kaabi, the E-Learning Unit, in cooperation with the Arabic Language Department and the Pioneering Pens Foundation, held a panel discussion on the story collection (The Italian Bridge) by the storyteller Ethar Mohsen in the Department of Arabic language meeting room, with a remarkable presence of instructors, students and members of the Writers Union in Basra.

In the panel discussion, a large number of critical research were presented that dealt with a recent collection of publications by the critic Miqdad Masoud, Dr. Hana Al-Bayati, the novelist, Dr. Shaima Thaer, the poet Aqila Al-Omrani, the poet Khansa Al-Eidani, the storyteller Kholoud Al-Thaalabi, the writer Nazim Al-Manasir, the writer Jassem Muhammad, and the writer Alaa Al-Tamimi.

 The panel discussion was presented by the poet Balqis Khaled, and it received wide discussions, the most important of which was the intervention of Dr. Hamid Mardan.
