The Department of Philosophy in the College of Arts at the University of Basrah organized a panel discussion entitled Humility in Philosophy.

The panel discussion, in which lect .Dr. Haider Abdel-Hussein Kassir lectured, aims to shed light on humility as a very important moral virtue, because it has many effects on society if it is acted upon. Paying attention to the danger of ignoring it, and humility in philosophy contributes to its ideas reaching the general public in a smooth manner and keeps it away from ambiguity. 

The panel discussion touched on the values ​​and ethics that were prevailing and it is customary for everyone to adhere to them. We knew automatically that we have to respect the elderly, be kind to the parents, honor the teacher, and be humble with the young before the old. These are the authentic values ​​with deep roots.

The researcher recommends continuing to present studies that would re-publish values ​​in societies, especially after what they witnessed from values avoidance, especially humility.
