Under the supervision of the Continuing Education Unit in the College of Arts, University of Basra, the History Department held a training course for first-stage students entitled ((Introductory lecture on exam instructions for the first and second attempts)).

The course in which lectured by the professors (Assistant Professor Dr. Intisar Adnan Abdel Wahed, Professor Dr. Zainab Jassim Hassan and Assistant Professor Hassan Habib) included several themes, the most important of which are: 

1- Introducing the method of calculating pursuit grades according to the system currently adopted in the college.

2- Introducing the law for calculating failing subjects and when a failed student can participate in the exam, as well as the transit system.  And when can the year of non-failing be calculated for the student.

3- Explanation of cases of allowing partial postponement of some subjects or total postponement.

4- How to calculate the student’s GPA according to the number of study units, and the definition of calculating the graduation rank according to the number of years of study.

5- Statement of cases of dismissal, promotion, termination of the relationship and its causes in accordance with university law.

6- Introducing the examination mechanism in the department and its requirements.
