The College of Arts - Department of Translation - held its second annual conference entitled (Culture and Translation: The Courtyard of Knowledge Interaction) in the college theater hall on Wednesday for two days, in the presence of a number of participants, including from outside the country. This conference contributes to the interaction of translation with other cultures and the strengthening of interdependence between them.

The Assistant Dean for Student Affairs, Dr. Muhammad Al-Hussein, indicated that this conference is the second conference for the Department of Translation, managed, organized and supervised by the President of the University and the Dean of the College of Arts. It includes the relationship between translation and cultures, how they interact with each other, and their relationship with the Translation Department in the College of Arts.

The president of the translation department, Dr. Jassim Khalaf, said: The conference has the importance of developing educational curricula and providing the requirements of the labor market and the skills of students and teaching staff capable of mixing between Arab and foreign cultures.

And that this conference is a conference for the translation department and its future. There will be other conferences affiliated with the department with other topics and goals.
