An instructor at the Department of History in the College of Arts at the University of Basrah Dr. Salma Abdel Hamid Al-Hashemi, Chairman of the Promotion Committee of the College of Arts and Chairman of the Scientific Committee in the Department of History, with Dr. Arafat Faisal, Dr. Hala Ghaleb and Dr. Amal Saleh Al-Kaabi from the Promotion Committee، and Dr.Khawla Talib and Dr. Haider Lazim, members of the Scientific Committee in the Department of History, participated in the training course held by the Center for Development and Continuing Education at the University of Basrah, entitled (Scientific Promotions, Instructions and Work Mechanisms) in the University Presidency Hall.

The training course included five lectures as follows:

1- Academic Promotion Instructions No. 167 of 2017

2- Classifications and types of scientific research, and mechanisms of electronic reconnaissance

3- The tasks of the scientific promotions committees and the scientific committees in the departments

4- Accreditation of journals

5- Mechanism for objecting to evaluation results

The lectures included interventions and questions that were raised.
