After vigorous follow-up by the President of Basrah University, Dr. Saad Shaheen Hammadi, and the Follow-up Department, the security forces arrested the criminal who stabbed the student in the College of Education for Girls.

In a brief statement the president of the University confirmed the arrest of the criminal who stabbed the student Zeinab Karim in a record period, which indicates the University keenness and concern for the safety of its students and cadres and warns the weak souls from compromising their security and will ensure their care and comfort.

It is worth mentioning that the criminal directed simple superficial stab wounds to the student Zainab Karim from the College of Education for Girls, and she gained full recovery, as she was visited by a high-ranking delegation from the University of Basrah Council to make sure of her recovery.
