Under the patronage of the Dean of the College of Arts, Prof. Dr. Majid Abdul Hameed Al-Kaabi, and within the activities of the joint cultural week between the University of Basrah and Ferdowsi University, sponsored by the President of Basra University, Prof. Dr. Saad Shaheen Hammadi, the Head of the Department of Arabic Language and Literature at Ferdowsi University Prof. Dr. Ahmed Reda Heidarian delivered a valuable lecture entitled " Reading in the Poetry of Badr Shaker," where the lecture was supervised by the Department of Arabic Language in the College of Arts, represented by the Head of the Department of Arabic Language and the college.

The audience also interacted with the lecturer, and the dialogue extended towards other topics such as the interaction of civilizations in creating personal experiences of poets and poetry styles..as well as the nature of Persian Sufi poetry and its relationship to ancient and modern Arab poetry...The session was presented by (Prof. Dr. Ali Majeed From the Department of Arabic Language and Assist. Prof. Dr. Muhammad Abdul Zahra Al-Hussein.

The session concluded with a cooperation protocol between the corresponding departments to start cooperation programs through visits, exchange of academic expertise, supervision and joint publishing.
