The University of Basrah Raises the Husseini Flag, Marking the Beginning of the Month of Sorrows

The University of Basrah revived this morning the ceremony of hoisting the blessed Husayni mourning flag coming from the holy city of Karbala, marking the start of the ceremonies of the sacred month of Muharram, the month of the martyrdom of Abi al-Ahrar , Imam Hussein bin Ali, his family and his supporters (peace be upon them), in the Bab Al-Zubair college complex in a spiritual atmosphere full with faith and reverence prevailed in the presence of a delegation from the Husayni shrine, carrying the flag from the land of Abi al-Ahrar in the holy city of Karbala, headed by the advisor to its Secretary-General, Haj Fadel Oz, and the Secretary-General of the Islamic Unity Foundation, Sheikh Jamal Al-Dosari, and the Public Relations, Department of the Basra Police Command, as well as official academic and religious figures who expressed the depth of their belonging to the family of the Prophet, peace be upon them.

 

 

The representative of the university president and his administrative assistant, Dr. Ali Hamdhi Al-Maliki, stated, "The university continues to commemorate this painful memory for the hearts of the believers year after year in the month of lessons to draw lessons from the revolution of Imam Hussein (PBUH), and raising the flag in the sky of educational institutions as a beacon for its students, affiliates, and teaching staff to follow the thought of the Master of Martyrs, and a beacon that enlightens all humanity to the path of truth and righteousness. It is a great honor for us to raise the flag of Imam Al-Hussein (PBUH) at the University of Basrah to embody the spirit of martyrdom, redemption and sacrifice for the lofty principles, and that attendance today completes the march of the master of the martyrs (Al-Hussein), peace be upon him, because of his great symbolic connotations that reflect adherence to the values ​​and principles of the eternal Husseini revolution.
