The University of Basrah discusses a master thesis about the vision of the woman’s personality to the world in the Iraqi theatrical text “1980_2003”

The Department of Arabic Language at the College of Arts at the University of Basra discussed the master thesis on the vision of the woman character for the world in the Iraqi theatrical text “1980_2003”.

 

The researcher Hoda Mahdi Abdel Hadi thesis included three chapters in which she talked about the ideological vision and the emotional vision in addition to the feminist vision.

The thesis aims to read and analyze a group of Iraqi theatrical texts that were written in the time period “1980-2003” due to their abundance of theatrical production, as this is considered a sufficient period to search for our field in the vision of the woman’s personality to the world.

The thesis concluded that the Iraqi theatrical texts had revealed the character of women in their ideological vision, changing, and the source of this vision was customs, traditions, and inheritance, as well as the impact of war. As for the emotional vision, the woman’s character was disturbed, unbalanced, sad, and repetitive, and in the feminist vision, the woman’s character was varied and intertwined between feelings Inferiority and the search for self-provement by rebellion against the familiar mold.
