The English Language Department at the College of Arts at the University of Basrah organized a scientific lecture entitled (Translation: Questions and Answers) on Wednesday, 12/13/2023.

The lecture, delivered by Professor Dr. Kazem Khalaf Al-Ali, addressed several topics, including the beginnings of translation as mentioned in the Tower of Babel, the necessity of the translator being bilingual and bicultural, and the importance of the translator’s continuous preparation and training, practicing translation, and to be devoted to it.

At the end of the lecture, the door was opened for questions and interventions, and the professor responded to them and distributed signed copies of his book “Essays in Translation” to the students.
