The Department of History at the College of Arts at the University of Basra organized a scientific trip to the Museum of Civilizations and the Natural History Museum of the University of Basrah

The visit by a group of department professors and their students included viewing the historical antiquities in the museum dating back to prehistoric times, including the Sumerian and Assyrian era, as well as antiquities dating back to the Islamic era.

At the end of the trip, the professors recommended the need to pay attention to the archaeological monuments and museums located in the city of Basra and the rest of the Iraqi cities, and to open the door for international archaeological missions to explore more of them, and the importance of developing these archaeological monuments, providing services in them, and opening them to the coasts of various parts of the world to maximize the financial resources of the Iraqi treasury.
