Basrah University Holds Symposium on Women in Islamic Civilizational Model

The Educational and Psychological Guidance Unit at the College of Arts at the University of Basrah held an in-person awareness seminar entitled (Women in the Islamic Civilizational Model between Tradition and Modernity).

The symposium was moderated by Dr. Sarah Abdel-Razzaq Zaji Al-Asadi

Dr. Hana Abdel Nabi Al-Abadi, Dr. Abdel-Aali Hamid Abdel-Aali, Dr. Zainab Jassim Hassan, and Dr. Naima Latif Abdallah lectured at the symposium.

The topics of the symposium were about the cultural role of women in presenting their pioneering role in society and building a cohesive family, and providing living examples in ancient civilizations of women who represented their pioneering role in serving society as it progressed to the Islamic era and how women made effective and influential contributions to taking their rights.

The third and fourth research papers were about the role The symbol in the steadfastness and steadfastness of women discusses the issue of the women who were followers of Imam Ali bin Abi Talib - peace be upon him - who had fixed positions and opinions that did not fluctuate, stemming from absolute belief in the justice of the cause they defended, and the symbol that formed the axis and starting point of that steadfastness (Mrs. Zainab bint Ali Ibn Abi Talib, peace be upon her, Umm Al-Khair Al-Barqiyya, Amna bint Al-Sharid, Sawda bint Amara)

The symposium aims to know the true role and value of women. All matters that may pose some kind of problem in their path will be resolved, despite the fact that heaven has assigned women an existential role due to their great status.

The symposium touched on the legal aspect, the laws and regulations that protect women and give them their rights in accordance with what is stipulated in divine laws, rules and regulations in accordance with Iraqi law.
