Under the patronage of the Dean of the College of Arts, Dr. Majid Abdul-Hamid Al-Kaabi, and with the assistant of the Dean for Scientific Affairs, Dr. Haider Abdel-Reda, the role of laboratories was scientifically activated for the college’s students, where a lecture was given on the philosophy of language.
The lecture presented by Dr. Muhammad Qasim Zaboun dealt with the principles of the American philosopher and thinker Willard Van Orman Quine and his approach to analytic philosophy.
The lecture referred to the role of thinker Willard van Orman Quine, who is considered as one of the most influential philosophers of the twentieth century. The philosopher Quine emphasized that philosophy is the abstract branch of experimental sciences, opposed the traditional analytical trend between issues and defended semantic universality.
