On Tuesday morning, 15/12/2020, the Department of Philosophy, College of Arts, University of Basrah, organized a seminar entitled "The Theory of Recognition by Excel Honith"

 The seminar presented by the teacher Nibras Zaki Jalil included the concept of recognition of the contemporary German philosopher Axel Honeth, who wanted to rebuild the social experience based on forms of recognition in order for the self to realize its existence.

The workshop aimed to achieve justice among all classes of society, to diagnose and understand everything that hinders the achievement of happiness and tranquility for individuals and societies. It also aims to define standards for successful life forms.

The researcher called to pay attention to that theory and to look forward to expanding and deepening it in the field of life, benefit from it to achieve justice and equality and to reject all forms of contempt, which will positively reflect on the behavior of the individual in particular and society in general.
