The heads of scientific departments in the corresponding private colleges held a meeting in the College of Arts at the University of Basra in order to organize the conduct of central examinations between public and private universities.

The meeting aims to unify the work of the joint examination committees, unify the curriculum, the materials covered in the examinations, and the numbers of students and examination committees.
