The University of Basra holds a panel discussion on formulating exam questions linguistically, “objectively,” practically, and formally, and the specifications of the exam paper

The College of Arts at the University of Basra holds a panel discussion entitled: Formulating the examination questions linguistically - “objectively” - practically “and formally” and the specifications of the examination paper.

The  panel discussion  in which Professor Dr. Ali Abdel Samad Khudair lectured included a scientifically, objectively, and linguistically clear formulation that is far from strangeness, interpretation, and lack of clarity. It is complete, not incomplete or open, and the question reflects a single understanding that is not open to interpretation. The formulation expresses all levels of students, and the formulation of the question arouses the students’ interest. The questions should reflect the desired scientific output.

The  panel discussion aims to learn how to formulate exam questions from a scientific, practical, and objective perspective and the effective ministerial instructions related to exam questions in the exam procedures guide and the student admission guide, in addition to the specifications of the exam paper, the question bank, and the types of questions.

The panel discussion concluded that the exam questions reflect the standard teaching ability and are the real test for the academic subject and reflect all levels of weak, average, and good students and those with talent and experience, in addition to that the exam questions reflect the vocabulary of the academic subject and achieve the goal of the curriculum.
