The Department of History at the College of Arts at the University of Basra organized a scientific seminar entitled (India throughout History).
The seminar included three lectures. The first lecture delivered by Dr. Tawfiq Dawai Al-Hajjaj, entitled (The spread of Islam in India after the conquest in 92 AH), the second lecture was given by Dr. Hala Othman, entitled (The First Migrations and the Rise of Cities in India BC), and the third lecture delivered by Dr. Sabla Talal Yassin explained (Contemporary India and the emergence of the Indian National Movement led by Gandhi until his assassination).
A documentary about Gandhi's struggle and India's independence was shown at the seminar, and the documentary also included Gandhi's assassination
