Instructor at Basrah University Participates in Baghdad International Conference 

Dr. Miqdad Abdel Imam Abboud, a professor at the College of Arts at the Department of Translation, participated in Baghdad International Conference for Humanities and Social Sciences 2024.
The participation was with a research entitled THEEMES IN ALICE WALKER MERIDIAN’S NOVEL, which was published in the conference journal in Turkey.
The research dealt with the main ideas in the novel “Alice Walker Meridian” and touched on showing the importance of careful examination of the novel, in that “Alice Walker” constantly writes about sex and racism in her novels, and expresses her own convictions in her works as a black woman living in the United States, and she uses the term “Feminism” which refers to feminism with black origins.
