A PhD thesis in the Department of Arabic Language at the College of Arts, University of Basrah, examined Linguistic deviation from the religious text in the Collection "Song of Heaven" by Mazhar Al-Alawi.
The thesis, presented by the student Asaad Younis Hatim, aims to identify the stylistic deviations in the poet Al-Alawi's collection from the religious text at the morphological and syntactic levels, and to introduce the eloquent orator and remarkable poet (Mazhar Al-Alawi Al-Zaidi) for his exceptional poetic talent. His poems overflow with profound sincerity and deep loyalty to the Prophet and his family, peace be upon them all.
The thesis included two chapters: the first chapter addressed morphological deviation, and the second chapter discussed syntactic deviation.
The thesis concluded that the poet text deviated from its religious references at both the morphological and syntactic levels.
