A Discussion of the student Saad Mohsen Badr Al-Salami

On Thursday morning, 17/12/2020, a master's thesis entitled "A geopolitical Analysis of the Land Border Outlets of Basra Governorate" was discussed in the Department of Geography and Geographical Information Systems, College of Arts, University of Basrah.

The thesis presented by the student Saad Mohsen Badr Al-Salami included four chapters. The first chapter involved the theoretical framework of the study. The second chapter dealt with the general geographical features of Basra Governorate and the historical performance of its implementers. The third chapter shed the light on the commercial importance and motives for developing outlets. The fourth chapter addressed the challenges facing the work of the outlets and their future prospects. .

The study aimed to demonstrate the role of the positive effects of the land border outlets and their geopolitical value through their role in strengthening political relations between countries. The study sought to demonstrate the importance of the ports in terms of geopolitics and the extent of the reflection of that importance on the relationship between countries.
