A competitive examination was held at the College of Arts, University of Basrah, for students applying for postgraduate studies (master and PhD) for the departments of Arabic language, English language, translation, history, and geography, with the participation of (197) male and female students.

The Dean of the College of Arts, Professor Dr. Majid Abdul Hamid Al-Kaabi, explained that the exam was conducted smoothly as planned, with the college preparing the examination halls in the best possible way.
Professor Dr. Haider Abdul Redha Al-Tamimi, Assistant Dean for Scientific Affairs, also inspected the examination halls and was briefed on the progress of the examinations.
