With more than (20) buses, the University of Basrah dispatches its members to visit the Arbaeen of Imam Hussein (peace be upon him)

The University of Basrah procession set off from the city of Basrah to the holy city of Karbala to commemorate the Arbaeen of Imam Hussein (peace be upon him).

The university president, Dr. Muhannad Jawad Kazim, stated that the university has allocated more than (20) buses to transport university members, including instructors, employees, and students, who wish to visit Imam Hussein (peace be upon him) for free.

The university president added that the university provided all the needs for the procession that will participate in the university parade on the day designated for them.

He added that the procession was accompanied by a medical effort carried out by the medical group's colleges to provide free examination services, give immediate treatment to visitors, and send emergency cases to the hospital.

It is worth mentioning that the University of Basra procession participates annually in the mourning procession of the students of the unified universities of Iraq, which will be held in the shrines of the two Imams, Al-Hussain and his brother Aba Al-Fadl Al-Abbas, peace be upon them, in the presence of the university president and his assistants for administrative and scientific affairs and the deans of the colleges, as part of a unified march with the rest of the processions of the students of the Iraqi universities, arriving at the two holy shrines, during which slogans of sadness and grief will be chanted for the painful tragedy of Al-Taf.
