PhD Thesis at Basrah University on (The Critical Vision in the Literary Works of Italo Calvino)

A PhD thesis at the Department of Arabic Language at the College of Arts at the University of Basrah examined (The critical vision in the literary works of Italo Calvino).
The thesis, presented by researcher Zainab Jawad Musa, included three chapters (His critical vision in narrative techniques, reception theory, and his critical books).
The thesis aims to shed light on the critical point of view of Italo Calvino's literary works, in which he employed philosophical standards and categories in a logical manner in critical discourse, and selected critical terms related to authenticity and modernity.
The thesis concluded: The critical vision was formed by Calvino after he discovered the various methods and conducted various experiments to reach the scientific method. He showed his vision in light of his relationship with the world through perspectives that depend on confrontation and rationality with practical and ethical attempts, as he showed in his book (Six Commandments for the Next Millennium), which included his future vision of literature stemming from impressionistic criticism and his high taste in appreciating creative work.
