The University of Basrah Holds a Mourning Council to Commemorate the Soul of Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah

 

On Monday morning, September 30, 2024, the University of Basrah held a memorial service in the General Secretariat of the Central Library within the university campus to honor the soul of Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah, who was martyred in a Zionist raid in the southern suburb of Lebanon.
The Council was attended by the President of the University of Basra, Prof. Dr. "Muhannad Jawad Kazim Al-Asadi", the Dean of the College of Arts, Prof. Dr. "Majid Abdul Hamid Al-Kaabi", and a number of deans of the colleges of the University of Basrah, in addition to the presence of professors, students and employees.

The event began with the recitation of verses from the Holy Quran, and a speech by the university president in which he mentioned the deceased’s prominent role in society. This event comes within the framework of the university’s keenness to honor prominent figures and immortalize their memory.
