As part of its weekly cultural activity, the Department of Arabic Language at the College of Arts at the University of Basrah held a panel  discussion entitled (A look at the following in the Literature of Gibran Khalil Gibran). The panel was moderated by Professor Dr. Diaa Al-Thameri and presented by the researcher and teacher Diaa Ali Abdul-Ridha. It was attended by lecturers from the Department of Arabic Language and postgraduate students.

The researcher said in his introduction: “A look at the following, which was written by Gibran Khalil Gibran in the early twentieth century, more than a century ago, contains what it contains of revelations for every intelligent Muslim researcher who has a visionary view of the future. He sees in this thought scenes that Gibran drew many years before they happened, as if he were talking about the state of the loyal Muslim man in these days.” The researcher pointed to some of the metaphysical stations that this thought of Gibran raises and the most important events that are taking place in our world today, which can be read as a visionary view by Gibran them.
