Assistant Professor Dr. Hala Ghaleb Al-Nahi, Head of the Department of Information and Knowledge Technologies at the College of Arts, University of Basrah, participated in the Second International Specialized Conference on Information and Libraries, which was held by the Al-Abbas's Holy Shrine in Karbala.

The participation included presenting two scientific research papers. The first research paper included (A perspective on the use of information technology in digitizing libraries) with the participation of Professor Dr. Zainab Ali Khalaf from the College of  Sciences and Assistant Professor Dr. Adi Bashir Issa. The second research paper dealt with (Libraries in the Age of the Web: Between Traditional Heritage and the Challenges of Digital Transformation) with the participation of researcher Marwa Sareem Al-Najaz.
