The Department of Information and Knowledge Technologies at the College of Arts at the University of Basrah organized a Panel  discussion entitled (Developing Human Resources in the Field of Libraries and Information Centers).

The panel, in which Professor Dr. Amal Abdel Rahman Abdel Wahid lectured, addressed the importance of raising the efficiency of employees through continuous training and adopting the latest technologies and innovations that contribute to improving the quality of information services. The panel was distinguished by scientific discussions rich in information in which a group of professors from the department participated, as they discussed the challenges and opportunities available for developing human resources in this field.

The panel concluded with several important topics related to developing human resources in the field of libraries and information centers, most notably:

1. Emphasizing the importance of developing human resources skills in libraries and information centers through periodic training programs to keep pace with rapid changes in information technology.

2. The necessity of adopting the latest digital technologies and innovations to improve the efficiency of information services and increase productivity.
