The Department of Information and Knowledge Technologies at the College of Arts at the University of Basrah organized a scientific seminar entitled “The Future of University Libraries in Light of Artificial Intelligence Technology.”

The seminar, moderated by Assistant Professor Dr. Hala Ghalib Al-Nahi, discussed the future of libraries amidst the rapid advancements in artificial intelligence technologies and their growing impact on various fields. It emphasized the urgent need for university libraries to adapt to this digital transformation to enhance their services and meet the needs of their academic communities. 

The seminar aimed to explore the future of university libraries, highlight the opportunities and challenges posed by artificial intelligence technologies, and their role in bringing about a qualitative shift in the provision of information services.
