Adab Journal Enters The Impact Factor Arcif

Basrah Adab Journal gained the Arab Citation and impact factor in the Hashmite Jordan Kingdom. This impact factor from an academic journal is a measure used to refer to the relative importance of the refereed and its impact within its field. It also reflects the degree of connection of the new research previously published in that journal and citation within a certain period of time.

The base " Ma'rifah" (Knowledge) attempted to gather information about data reaching more than 5100 titles of scientific and academic Arabic journal. These are set in different specializations published in Arabic, English and French or multilingual which are issued from more than 1400 academic institution in 20 Arabic countries (except Djibouti and Comoros due to shortages of data). Out of these just 681 have passed to be accredited within the standards of the Arab citation and impact factor (Arcif) in the report of 2020.

Dr. Sami El-Khaznadar head of the initiative of the Arab citation and impact factor (Arcif) said that Basra Adab Journal issued by the university of Basra succeeded in gaining the standards of Arab citation and impact factor (Arcef) matching the International standards reaching 31 standards.

It is worth mentioning that this journal is a quarterly refereed academic journal issued by the deanery of the College of Arts – university of Basrah. This journal concerns publishing only human sciences research for different Iraqi researchers. The first issue was published in 1968 and nowadays four issues are being published annually.
