On Tuesday 12/1/2021, the Department of Philosophy in the College of Arts organized a seminar on "The Idea of Returning to Oneself" delivered by Muhammad Iqbal

The seminar presented by Dr. Aqeel Sadiq Zaalan included an attempt to clarify the idea of self-return that Muhammad Iqbal delivered in many of his books. Muhammad Iqbal was one of the advocates for the application of the return of Islamic societies to their central identity represented by Islam, its laws and sublime principles, in exchange for the ideas of alienation that spread in Islamic societies.

The seminar aimed to show the ability of Islam to build the personality of the individual on the cultural, ideological, social, psychological and other levels.

The researcher recommended the necessity to apply the foundations of Islamic civilization and Islamic thought, and to take into account the views of the personalities calling for their application, such as Muhammad Iqbal, who were able to keep pace with the reality of Islamic societies, take care of their problems and present ideas and propositions that can raise them.
