The Department of Libraries and Information held a seminar titled " the American University in Sulaimania – Iraq: a Case Study".

The session, introduced by the researcher Lubna Qasim Ra'oof, introduced the library of the American University in Sulaimania, its goals and the human resources working in it plus the services offered with its infrastructure which was examined as a field study.

This study aimed at pointing out the significance of this library as a university one which spreads approximately throughout the world including Kurdistan in particular and Iraq in general.

The researcher recommended for the necessity for maintaining the library infrastructure because it cannot offer the intended research requirement as well as its scientific and electronic products that meet the expectations and  ambition.
