The Department of Geography and Geographic Information Systems at the College of Arts organized a training workshop entitled (Acquiring English Language Skills), on Sunday, December 14, 2025, with the participation of a number of faculty members, staff and students, as part of the department’s efforts to develop the linguistic and academic skills of its members.

The workshop, presented by Professor Samir Mohammed Jassim, a faculty member in the Department of Geography and Geographic Information Systems, aimed to develop basic English language skills, given their crucial role in supporting university studies and scientific research, as well as enhancing participants' academic communication abilities. The workshop witnessed positive interaction from the attendees through insightful discussions and contributions that enriched its scientific themes.
