The Assistant Dean for Scientific Affairs of the College of Arts, Professor Dr. Haider Abdul-Redha Hassan, headed the scientific delegation participating in the international conference held at Khorramshahr University of Marine Sciences entitled Sustainable marine-based development, held from January 27-28, 2026, featured presentations by Assistant Professor Dr. Salem Jassim Salman, whose research was titled: (The Impact of Water Erosion in Wetlands Between Iraq and the Islamic Republic of Iran), and Dr. Shrouq Talib Abdul Wahab, whose research was titled: (The Impact of Changes in Salinity Concentrations and Oil Pollutants on Biodiversity in Iraqi Coastal Areas).

The participation aimed to build bridges of scientific, intellectual and cultural communication with Khorramshahr University in all its scientific and humanistic disciplines, and to contribute to the development of scientific relations between the two universities through the exchange of experiences and the holding of joint scientific conferences, seminars and workshops.
