As part of a donation campaign organized by the Presidency of the Department of Translation at the College of Arts / University of Basrah, along with contributions from faculty members, staff, and students, the distribution of Ramadan food baskets to students was successfully completed during the holy month of Ramadan.

Food baskets were distributed to some students, while others received financial assistance. The beneficiaries included underprivileged students within the department, as well as some suffering from chronic illnesses. The distributions took place on Sunday and Tuesday, 15–17 March 2026, aiming to ease their financial burdens during the holy month.

This campaign sought to strengthen cooperation and social solidarity in supporting students throughout their academic journey and to provide them with a suitable Ramadan atmosphere.

The College Deanship praised these donations and the efforts of those involved in organizing and implementing them, recommending the continuation of such charitable initiatives to support students and other vulnerable groups in society.
