Faculty members from the College of Arts at the University of Basrah participated in the national conference organized by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, held at Al-Hakim Hall, University of Baghdad (Al-Jadriya campus), on Wednesday, April 15, 2026, under the theme: “Knowledge Economy: Entrepreneurial Universities and a Sustainable Economy.”

The conference themes closely aligned with the work of curriculum development committees formed under ministerial order No. (1506-29784) dated 10/3/2026, aiming to study mechanisms for reducing the gap between educational outcomes and the needs of national institutions.
The conference concluded with several key recommendations, the most important of which:
1. The necessity of serious efforts to bridge the gap between educational outputs and national academic and professional institutions.
2. Equipping students with the skills required by the labor market.
3. Strengthening administrative and academic collaboration to ensure the success of the national project aimed at developing graduates’ skills and integrating them into the workforce.
