The Student Activities Division at the College of Arts, University of Basrah, organized a volunteer initiative to decorate the courtyards of the college’s Deanship with artistic works created by students of the College of Arts. The activity aimed to present the college in its finest appearance while highlighting the students’ artistic talents and creative potential.
The initiative included the display of a collection of fine art paintings representing different historical periods. The artworks ranged from pieces produced between 2013 and 2026, all created by students from both the morning and evening studies programs of the College of Arts, reflecting their artistic talents and their ability for creative expression.
Professor Dr. Abdul Amir Hashim, supervisor of the volunteer work, explained that this initiative seeks to present the Deanship of the College of Arts in its most beautiful form, while also showcasing students’ talents in fine arts and leaving behind a lasting artistic imprint in the college that will remain as a testament to their creativity even after their graduation from university life.
The volunteer work also included the participation of the College of Arts Student Volunteer Team affiliated with the Student Activities Division, as part of supporting student activities and initiatives that contribute to enhancing the university environment and strengthening the spirit of cooperation and belonging among students.
