The College of Arts at the University of Basrah witnessed a ceremony honoring a number of academic leaders and faculty members in recognition of their scholarly and humanitarian efforts and their role in supporting charitable initiatives. Those honored included the Dean of the College, Professor Dr. Majid Abdul Hamid Al-Kaabi; the Assistant Dean for Scientific Affairs, Professor Dr. Haider Abdul Redha Al-Tamimi; the Assistant Dean for Administrative Affairs, Professor Dr. Mohammed Abd Kadhim Al-Khafaji; Lecturer Lubna Qasim Mohammed Raouf from the Department of Information and Knowledge Technologies; and Ms. Nawal Issa Hussein.

This recognition was presented by the Masirat Ali Sponsor of the Orphan Foundation in appreciation of their active participation in humanitarian work and their continued support for orphan sponsorship initiatives and charitable activities carried out by the foundation in Basra Governorate.

During an official ceremony, Professor Dr. Amal Abdul Rahman, Head of the Department of Information and Knowledge Technologies, presented the commemorative shields. The foundation and the department also agreed to implement joint programs aimed at caring for orphans, supporting underprivileged families, and strengthening sustainable humanitarian and community cooperation.
