The Center of Languages at the College of Arts, University of Basrah, has organized a specialized English language training course for employees of the General Company for Ports of Iraq. The four-month program aims to develop participants’ language proficiency and enhance their communication skills in the workplace.

The course covers a range of topics in general English, with a particular focus on developing speaking and listening skills. It also seeks to enrich participants’ linguistic competence by providing them with specialized vocabulary and terminology related to hydrographic surveying, thereby contributing to greater professional efficiency and improved job performance.

This course forms part of the Center’s ongoing efforts to strengthen cooperation with state institutions and the private sector through the provision of training and professional development programs that enhance the linguistic and professional skills of employees, in line with labor market demands and rapid developments across various fields.
