A Discussion of the student Isra Abdul Karim Taher

A doctoral thesis entitled "The Struggle for the Throne in Tsarist Russia 1605 – 1689", was discussed in the Department of History, College of Art.

The thesis submitted by the student Isra Abd al-Karim Taher in which she explained the Polish role in the struggle for the Russian throne 1605-1612 and the struggle for the throne during the reign of Tsar Mikhail Romanov and Tsar Alexei Romanov and between the Miloslavsky and Naryshkin families, included four chapters .

The thesis concluded that it was the Boyars who controlled matters in the country, and that Poland tried as much as possible to deepen the internal conflict between the Russians over the throne in order to confuse their situation and thus impose its control on Russian lands, as well as the clerics' attempt to control the Russian Tsars from time to time .

The thesis discussed the important events and issues related to the development of the conflict between the Russian Tsars and the Boyar princes, which in turn represented one of the basic phenomena of the seizure of power in Russia, and the effect that resulted from that conflict, whether on the Russian people or the Tsars themselves.
