The Female University Instructor’s Experience in E-Learning Between Reality and Ambition

Under the care of the President of Basra University, Prof. Dr. Saad Shaheen Hammadi, and under the supervision of the Dean of the College of Arts, Prof. Dr. Majid Abdul Hamid al-Kaabi, the Department of Information and Libraries, in cooperation with the Unit of Quality and University Performance and the Continuing Education Unit at the College of Arts, University of Basra, held a seminar entitled "The Female University Instructor's Experience in E-Learning Between Reality and ambition", on Thursday 18/03/2021.

 

       The symposium aims to shed light on the female university instructor's experience of in e-learning at the University of Basra, in order to benefit from proposals and experiences to advance the reality of the experience. Many female instructors in scientific and humanitarian specialties participated with serious research papers, in addition to the participation of Dr. Taghreed Haider from the Republic of Lebanon.

     The symposium concluded that an additional computer unit should be established to follow up the electronic lessons at the university to solve the immediate problems generated during the exams, the necessity to establish a direct follow-up room for weekly teaching and making schedules, and to open a specialized center at Basra University for distance education, and to provide an opportunity for everyone who wants to learn from distance, in addition to the necessity of training the teaching staff and students to be aware of the techniques available in the field of e-learning through training courses run directly by Basra University.

       At the end of the symposium, the Dean of the College of Arts, Prof. Dr. Majid Abdel-Hamid Al-Kaabi, the Dean's Scientific Assistance Prof. Dr. Haider Abdul-Ridha Al-Tamimi and the Dean's Administrative Assist. Prof. Dr. Muhammad Abdul-Kazem Al-Khafaji honored the participants and organizers of the symposium.
