Vision
<p><span style="font-size:18px">The vision of the college, as one of the educational institutions in the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, is summarized in preparing young human resources that contribute to supplying the labor market with graduates qualified to engage in tasks and jobs in governmental and private institutions after they have been provided with theoretical and applied experiences and skills in various fields of human knowledge, in addition to what it offers in terms of programs, services and studies required by the needs of sustainable development in order to keep pace with the movement of local, Arab and global scientific and knowledge development.</span></p>

<p><span style="color:#000000"><span style="font-size:18px">College of Arts is the first college in the series of the other colleges of the University of Basra which was founded in 1964. College of Arts consist of Seven departments : Arabic, English, history, geography, philosophy, information and libraries, and translation. College of Arts tries hard to achieve its best on scientific, administrational and service levels to graduate sufficient, well- trained people in their specializations to serve their country in the best possible way.</span></span></p>
