Discussion of the Student Adawiya Jabbar Kazem

On Sunday morning, 30/4/2023, a master thesis entitled (investigating the impact of e-learning on the academic performance of secondary school students in Basra) was discussed in the Department of English at the College of Arts at the University of Basrah.

 

The thesis presented by the student Adawiya Jabbar Kazem included five chapters. The first chapter presents the initial steps of the study, the second chapter was devoted to the theoretical side, the third chapter dealt with the research design and methodology, the data was analyzed and interpreted in the fourth chapter, and the fifth chapter included a discussion of the results, conclusions and recommendations.

The thesis aims to identify the impact of e-learning on the academic performance of students during the pandemic in Basra, based on some basic principles of Gestalt theory. The study also revealed that e-learning had a negative impact on the academic performance of students, especially in public schools and that there is a relationship between the Internet and the decline in student achievement during the pandemic.
